JORDAN VILLAGE, written by Robin G. Maillett and illustrated
by LeeAnn Graham, is a tale about a fruit tree named Brie that grows along the ground in the backyard of a gentle old woman
named Rosie and a squirrel named Jordan with a front paw that did not fully develop. Jordan's home is nestled among
Brie's leaves and low branches because Jordan can't climb like the other squirrels. Squire Screech Owl watches over
Jordan and keeps Jordan safe from predators but everything is not cozy in Rosie's backyard...the fruit tree is often made
fun of by the tall oaks, towering maples and weeping willows; things soon change, however, when a hurricane strikes Jordan
Village and no one, not man nor creature, ever makes fun of the fruit tree or the squirrel again.
The book
is dedicated to our cousin, Cullen Dwyer of Massachusetts, a traumatic brain injury survivor. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
